Tour 8 days from casablanca to marrakech
Day 1 : Casablanca – Rabat
Meeting at the airport and travel to Casablanca, the first views of the Moroccan countryside. Visit to the Hassan II mosque (Friday is not possible or religious holidays), the largest mosque in Africa and decorated with beautiful tiles of great craftsmanship. Continue to Rabat. Dinner and overnight.
Day 2 : Rabat – Meknes.
After breakfast at the hotel, we return back over the River to Rabat, where scheduled a visit to the Hassan tower and the mausoleum of Mohammed V, built in tribute to the King, who died in 1961. His son and successor, Hassan II, who died in 1999, are also buried here.Follow the gardens Kasbah Oudaya, which are typical Andalusian style, and from there into the own Kasbah, painted in the traditional blue and white on the outside of the walls. This style of decoration can be found in many towns of the coast up and down the Atlantic coast. The journey continues towards Meknes, where you can visit Bab Mansour, one of the most famous places in Morocco, the mausoleum of Moulay Ismail and barns. Dinner and overnight.
Day 3 : Meknes – Volubilis – Fez.
After breakfast at the hotel, departure to Volubilis to visit Roman ruins, which are distributed in a wide area and have magnificent views over the Valley and the hills. From here you can see below, visit the Holy City of Moulay Idriss. Non-Muslims are not allowed entry into the mausoleum of the main square, but it has beautiful views and small shops. Continue to Fez. Dinner and overnight.
Day 4 : Fez.
Day at leisure in FES. Through the streets of the medina (old town) will feel that time back: the trade union structure is still present in the work, the narrowness of the streets not allow other means of transport that moves the donkeys and a constant tingling sensation of people through the labyrinthine streets in the middle of which surprised neighborhoods as the Andalusians and magnificent mosques and Koranic schools. FES has been always associated with the study and religiosity, and continues to be the spiritual capital of Morocco. After visiting the medina another option is walking aimlessly through the streets of FES-Jdid, where you will find the Royal Palace, the mellah (Jewish quarter) and the oldest mosque in Fez.
Day 5 : Fez - Ifrane - Midelt – Ziz Gorges - Erfoud - Rissani - Merzouga.
We will pick you up from your riad / hotel then drive south to Ifrane and Azrou through the Middle Atlas mountains. On the way we will stop at the cedar forests to see the Barbarian Apes in their natural habitat. Travelling through the Tizi Ntalghamt pass to Midelt and along the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock, you’ll see views of the Middle-Atlas plateau and the scenery changing to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city of Errachidia. After lunch we’ll continue our journey through the Ziz Valley to Erfoud, Rissani and Merzouga. After a glass of mint tea, we’ll leave our luggage in a safe room then take a camel ride to a Berber camp in the middle of the Erg Chebbi Sad Dunes which are the highest sand dunes in North Africa. The camel trek takes about 1hr 30 min from to the camp where we will set up Berber tents for our night in the desert. The tents are well equipped with mattresses, blankets, and cushions. After dinner we will gather around the fire and enjoy the sound of traditional Berber drums under the stars.
Day 6 : Merzouga - Todra Gorge - Dades Valley.
We will wake up early to enjoy a magnificent sunrise on the dunes then take a camel ride back to the hotel. After freshening up and breakfast we’ll leave for Tinghir and the Todra Gorges and finally arrive in the Dades Valley where we will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 7 : Dades Valley - Skoura - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - High Atlas mountain - Marrakech.
After breakfast we’ll drive through the Dades Valley towards Kalaat Mgouna and Ouarzazate. The route through the Dades Valley, the way of the thousand Kasbahs, provides numerous photo opportunities. We’ll visit the Roses valley and Skoura village, then continue to Ouarzazat, “the Hollywood of Africa”. Lunch is at the famous Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco. After touring this UNESCO World Heritage site, our journey will continue through the majestic Tizi nTichka pass, reaching an altitude of 2260m, over the High Atlas Mountains. We will stop to enjoy the impressive views and visit the argan oil cooperative. We will arrive in Marrakech late afternoon.
Day 8 : Marrakech city tour.
After breakfast in the riad , you can start exploring Marrakech " the red city of Morocco”. We will ensure that you see the most important sites of historical and cultural interest, including the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palace. After lunch at a restaurant near the square, you will walk through the souks and view hundreds of handicrafts. In the afternoon, you will have some free time to wander by yourself through the other parts of the city.
